The program can be used to monitor Internet hosts and services running on them continuously. It allows to create a list of Internet servers and a task lists for each of them: pings and services to check: HTTP, FTP, Telnet, SMTP, POP3, NNTP and any others. sMonitor is a system tray program and its main window looks like a spreadsheet which shows a current status of ports and/or round-trip time of pings. The program is able to generate a log file, an html file and send a notification by e-mail. sMonitor would be useful for everyone who wants to monitor servers on Internet and especially for System Administrators who maintain TCP/IP based networks with local/remote servers running different kinds of client/server applications like Lotus Notes, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
